Our New England sales rep, Suzanne Hutchinson is swimming again: “November 21 was a beautiful autumn day in Freeport, Maine where a cold water clinic took place at Lincoln Canoe and Kayak. After an in-shop presentation by Eric Duffy of Wilderness Medical Associates on hypothermia, we all suited up and headed over to the Harraseeket River for a nice swim in the cold water. After everyone tested out the dry suits, we headed out for a lovely paddle down the river for a few hours. As we rounded a small island in the river, we came up an a beautiful bushy tailed red fox -he was more surprised than we were! I wondered if he swam out or if he ended out on the island when the river was frozen? Unfortunately no pictures to prove the encounter as he was moving fast. Other sightings were of razor billed auks and a beautiful blue heron. The weather is definitely changing and winter is on the way. All photos are courtesy of Ponch Membreno.”
